About
About
I am a clean energy project developer by trade, and I have been photographing for about thirty years longer than that has been true.
I started in the 1970s, then took a forty-year detour: the State Electricity Commission of Victoria, Victoria’s energy regulator, and twenty-two years at the Asian Development Bank, latterly as Principal Energy Specialist. The camera came along the whole way. Most of what is on this site was photographed in the gaps around that work — an early morning in Samarkand before a mission started, a festival in Bacolod, a studio afternoon in Manila.
The portrait work is more recent and more deliberate. Sydney and Manila, mostly collaborative, mostly with people who wanted the frames as much as I did.
There are 2677 photographs here across 102 collections, and a great deal more still on hard drives.
