What I take on

Energy and infrastructure projects

This is the work I am best placed to do, and the reason to hire me rather than someone else. Thirty-eight years in the energy sector, twenty-two of them at the Asian Development Bank, seventeen countries — substations, machine halls, off-grid installations, conversion workshops, commissioning days. I can get into places a hired photographer cannot, and I know what the photograph has to demonstrate once I am in there.

Clients: clean energy developers, EPC contractors, development finance institutions, climate funds, ministries and foundations. Typical work: site and project documentation, annual and impact report imagery, investor and board material, executive portraits on site.

Conferences and executive portraits

Conference and forum coverage, panel and keynote documentation, and portraits of founders, financiers and officials — usually in the sector I already work in, often at events I am attending anyway.

Portrait sittings

Editorial, fashion and studio portraiture in Sydney and Manila, by arrangement and in limited numbers. Much of the portrait work shown on this site was made collaboratively with models and stylists rather than on commission, and I would rather say so plainly than imply otherwise.

What I don't do

Weddings, family sessions and event packages. There are photographers who do that far better than I would, and who want the work more.
